Product Trial for Straighteners Range

Here's another request for me to do a product trial on my striaghtener. I'm sorry on this part because I'd forgotten to take picture on the before and after using this product by my model >.< sheesh! Nevertheless, I did get to retrieve some of the pictures when I occasionally straightened(of coz with my own product)/do nothing with my hair.

Our straighteners comes with an temp indicator and controller, which you can adjust according to your hair thickness. And because with this controller, it could go up as high as 180 degrees, where you can straighten you hair permanently (with proper saloon chemicals). This is the controller for MFS001.

This is how you should hold your straighteners. It would be best to use it with a straightening comb. With a straightening comb (which you realize many of the professional saloon used it), you can ensure every strand is straightened and to avoid you burning your own hands (since your hair gonna be freaking hot once it's released from the heating plate), if you use it with your conventional comb.
This is how I look like without doing anything to my hair. Wavy and a little out of shape and a little frizzy (you can see little strands of hair protuding out, if you stand behind me).

And this is how I looked like when I straightened my hair. It is more control and has more shape. If you control your straightener well enough, you can have a 'bob' / 'curved in' effect. You can do many things with a straightener! FYI: I personally owns a MFS002. With MFS001, you may get more or less the same look. I'd tried it with my model :D

25mm Curling Thong vs 32mm Curling Thong

Based on Lynne request, I'd done a product trial to compare 25mm curling barrel and 32mm curling barrel's effect.

FYI: This how you supposed to hold your barrel if you're curling for yourself =D. The model is using MFC003 25 mm Long Curling Barrel. Tadaa! This is how it supposed to look like.

This would be a comparison of the curls would look like when you use different curling thong sizes.

25 mm Curling Barrel/Thong
As you can see, you will have a tighter curls for 25 mm, the ones that Taylor Swift used. You may use this kinda size for prom updos, chic looks, retro, vintage etc. I would say that this product would be a good investment for alot of fantastic updos.

32 mm Curling Barrel/Thong
Curls are looser if you're using these sizes of thong. Opting for more casual/beachy looks? This would be the right size for you! Note: I'd tried it once curling my hair w/o hairspray, at the end of the day, my hair looked so wavy and natural with this.

Wanna look a little gorgeous but 'not too much' for outing with friends/fine dining with someone special? With less than RM100, you can curl your hair at your leisure at home. Check out our curling thongs range today!

Blake Lively Hairstyle Tutorials

Statuesque bombshell Blake Lively has became one of Young Hollywood’s most buzzed about fashionistas thanks to a starring role on Gossip Girl. Lucky for you, her fashion sense and her hairstyle are fairly easy to mimic.

To get healthy and shiny hair like Blake Lively

Try this inexpensive but effective conditioning treatment you can make at home: Mix ¼ cup each of mayo, egg whites and olive oil and apply the concoction to damp hair. The protein and cholesterol will restore shine to lackluster locks if you leave it in for 30 minutes, massage it into the scalp and the ends, and shampoo and condition as usual.

The styling part

Items you need:

1. Heat Protective Spray

2. 32mm or 38mm curling tong

3. Elastic Bands

4. Hair Spray

Blake Lively's look is easy to copy if you have long, straight hair. Towel dry your hair and blow dry haphazardly, using your fingers to tousle and scrunch the ends to play up any natural waves you may already possess. Once your hair is dry, wrap 3-inch sections around a large barrel curling iron (in a vertical, not horizontal, motion), to create loose spirals.

EXTRA: Wrap hair around the curling iron and remove it almost immediately to get this wave instead of a big curl," Gossip Girl's on-set hairstylist, Jennifer Johnson says. (InStyle,2010)

Use your fingers to undo some of the curls you've created and spritz your hands with medium hold hairspray. Run them through your hair for long-term hold that’s not sticky or stiff.

Blake Lively’s style is boho-chic and she often wears braids that capture this free spirit. Instead of wearing a braid down her back, she opts for a few small braids at the front of her hair. Make this Lively hairstyle your own by finger-combing a styling cream into dry hair. Start your braids by grabbing a 1-centimeter section of hair at the root (in the front where bangs grow). Secure with invisible elastics and repeat three to six times, depending on the number of braids you crave.

Experiment with the thickness and placement of the braids just for fun. If you’re feeling fearless, wrap one braid around the crown of your head like a headband. Create your braid from a 1-inch section of hair that starts just above one ear. Braid it from root to tip, and pull it across the top of your head, tucking and pinning it behind the other ear. Leave the rest down or pull it into a ponytail.

Volumize Your Hair With Straighteners

The trends for spring summer 2010.

Haircuts, what are the lengths and the styles that will be 'trendy to wear' during the warm season of 2010? As the official haircare sponsors of London Fashion Week, the TONI&GUY Session Team work their magic backstage on over 20 catwalk shows and presentations each season. While working on the Spring/Summer 2010 shows the team created a series of inspiring, trend-setting hair. Hot for 2010 includes classic ballerina buns, big feminine voluminous hair and a focus on texture and finish, whether it is the slicked back wet look or polished and groomed with natural movement.

And what about the hairdos for long and for short hair?

This season, hair is about being playful and rebellious so if you have long hair try braiding it. If you feel braiding is too twee then try a fish tail plait for a rougher, edgier look. As for short hair, it is about movement and texture, so make sure hair has slight volume and doesn't lie flat to the head.

A 'do not' advice for our readers.

The mistake they should avoid if they want to have a trendy and modern hairstyle this summer. Do not neglect your hair in the summer. This summer, it is all about beautiful healthy hair and prolonged exposure to the sun tends to dry it out.
Keep hair in perfect condition. Protein Hair Creame (Suggestion: Himalaya Hearbals which is available at most Guardian Outlets) it contains UV Sunscreen to act as a shield against harmful rays and colour fade.

(Adversus, 2010)

Based on the Fashion info above, BIG HAIR is definitely in fashion now. There are few ways to achieve fluffy and airy hairs. Back combing, curling and straightening are some of the options, just to name a few. Nevertheless, today I'm showing you how to achieve textures, movement and volume by just using straighteners. Do take note that back combing your hair too often may cause you to have hair thinning over prolonged period. Before you begin.....

Items you need:
  1. Hair Clips
  2. Straighteners
  3. Heat Protective Spray
  4. Crafting Clay (as in video) or Hairspray (I would reccomend extra hold if you're going out for a long time)
  5. Straightening Comb (it is not used in this video, but I highly reccomend you to get one for it will allow every strand of your hair to be straightened and of course looked more arranged; We are selling it for RM15)
Note: Choose the right amount of heat to apply to your hair, basically thinner hair requires lower heat. To determine the right amount of heat to your hair, start with lower tempretures. You can see the tempreture indicator level as on our straighteners. Now, you can proceed.
